About flippin time, too – doctors warn against advising blanket statins because of the reliance on too many industry-paid for studies. What have I been saying for years? Nice to see a voice of reason from within the NHS at last:
New NHS statins guidance ‘risks harming patients’ – Telegraph.
Not sure how this will affect the prescribing methods of most GPs though. I understand the surgery is paid for each prescription for statins that is written. They need that money. It is a hard call for them in this day and age.
I think statins are a dangerous drug masquerading as a miracle.
