Zero Water Filter Jugs – TGF Safe

Just to let you know that ND has listed a new range of water filter jugs called Zero Water.

You can see them all here.

Tap water is a notoriously difficult thing for corn-sensitives and I know some have problems with the charcoal in such water filters too, so I checked them out for us. They said:

“The only vegetal component in ZW filters is the Carbon, which is made from coconuts for which some people are allergic to.”

So, of course, I went back and asked more:

Can you also confirm if the carbon has been activated using corn at all and if the plastic of the filter jug is corny. It is a common issue in corn-sensitives so just double-checking eg. from corn allergy girl site: https://cornallergygirl.com/2013/06/03/wheres-the-corn-in-foods/#WATER

I always like to check and raise awareness when I can too – thanks ever so!

They have confirmed: “No corn is used with any ZeroWater components, processes or products.”

So, I have added them onto the TGF Master List for you. Hope they help 🙂 Let me know if you try them, ta.

Retiring, but loads of help still here!

  1. Ah this is so timely, I’ve been researching these things. I have a water softener and have always had a britta, but couldn’t afford the filters this year. So now I want to find a more sustainable option that doesn’t involved plastic and waste. I always returned the filters to Britta but it seems wasteful. I’ve been looking at refillable ones like Phox and Larq so Zero water is another one to look at. Thanks so much for doing this. Zero sounds great for an eczema person

    1. I know: you wouldn’t think it would be so hard to find a non-plastic one, would you! Brita do them, but you know that if you use them. Zero do a glass dispenser I believe but it is expensive! They also do a stainless steel jug, which is nice to see. You can see the whole range here. https://naturaldispensary.co.uk/catalog/ZeroWater-1707-1.html. You could use a stainless steel Berkey too, of course. I believe their filters last for ages, so expensive to set up but not so much to maintain, you know. https://berkey-waterfilters.co.uk/collections/berkey-water-filters. None of it is cheap, though 🙁
