Easy Nutrition Pep-Up/Weight Loss Tip

Quick tip for you today. As we start a new year, many of us think we need to improve our health and weight – lose or gain! So, here’s a quick tip to help you with that. I’ve been using these and it is really helping.

Purition make several vegan and non-vegan nutritional food/protein powders.

It can be a nutritious breakfast, lunch or snack, even when time is short, a quick shake, an instant porridge or an easy yoghurt bowl. Packed with protein, healthy fats and fibre, no prep or fuss. Loaded with the best foods that nature has to offer, Purition will nourish your body, satisfy hunger and keep you feeling full and energised between meals.

You can use it as a meal replacement to help you lose weight or in addition to your normal diet to help you gain weight. If weight is not your issue, it will also act as a good easy-to-take health-boost/gut powder. I’ve been using the grain and dairy free ones to help me lose some menopause weight (thank you hormones) and to start improving my nutrient levels after such a restricted diet for 14 years!

I originally chose it because it contains psyllium husk and apple pectin, both of which help heal a vulnerable gut and lessen food sensitivity. See my apple recipe here for more on that.

You can get all the Purition powders from ND here.

The TGF ones are listed in the TGF Master List. I have been using the beetroot and chocolate and cocoa vegan ones – just because those particular ingredients suit me. I add fruit like berries and sometimes banana and manuka honey. I have even made it into a kind of porridge and often stir it into coconut yogurt for breakfast or lunch. They have lots of ideas and recipes here it doesn’t have to be a smoothie if you’re not into that.

And here’s a very amusing intro video from them, it made me laugh!

There are tons of different powders about. I also like the Biocare range as I’ve said before – much more of a supplement if that’s what you need. Here are loads of smoothie blog posts I’ve written over the years – note the Immune Boosting one with all these nasty colds, Covid and flu about currently.

Whichever you choose, enjoy!

Retiring, but loads of help still here!
