What’s Causing Your Chronic Pain?

Most patients have to trial several pain meds and combinations of approaches until they (hopefully) find something that lowers their pain levels. Think: fibromyalgia, head pain, TMJ pain, musculoskeletal pain (hip, knee etc) for a start.

How much better would it be if you had some idea of what type of painkillers or approaches might help you best? A LOT better and quicker relief, I would say. Enter the new DNA Pain gene test. As the lab explains:

By analysing the genes involved in biological pathways known to affect the risk of chronic pain; the report will identify the key areas that are contributing to chronic pain, and more importantly, how to alleviate these symptoms through personalised diet, supplement, exercise, and lifestyle interventions.

DNA Pain will benefit individuals suffering from a chronic pain condition, including fibromyalgia or musculoskeletal pain, who would like to take a personalised and holistic approach to pain management. Individuals suffering from comorbid conditions associated with chronic pain, such as anxiety or depression, will also benefit from the personalised recommendations in this test.

If you are using pharmaceutical medications as part of your pain treatment, the Medcheck test should be considered alongside DNA Pain to provide insight into the responsiveness and possible side effects related to pain management medication, including opioids.

DNA Life

How flippin useful is that?! I LOVE it when something like this arrives; it makes me much more able to help people with chronic conditions when the science bods give me the tools!

I have now listed the DNA Pain, MedCheck and other DNA Life tests for you on the shop. Here’s the burb and links below for you…

DNALife Genetic Tests

These new tests include DNA Pain for finding reasons and likely successful approaches to chronic pain instead of having to trial loads and suffering longer, and MedCheck for discovering which meds would most benefit or harm you, genetically-speaking. There are several more. You can see all the LifeDNA tests here.

I order them on your behalf via Nordic Labs. If ordering more than one test, just increase the number ordered on the shop and let me know in Comments which tests you want. Note that the DNA Health and DNA Resilience ones are a bit bigger so cost a little more. If doing MedCheck on its own, it costs more, but if doing as an add-on, it costs the same as a normal test.

I’ve also added these to the Genetic Tests page. And don’t forget more tips and recommendations are on the Pain Disorders page in the A-Z.

I truly hope those help you. Pain: we’re coming for you…!
