I kid you not. Put on some nice music and light a few candles. Strip the leaves off your kale (reserve the stems for smoothies or adding to cauliflower rice), pop the leaves in a bowl with some olive oil and a little salt and massage them for about 3-4 minutes. Lucky kale!!
Seriously, it helps to make the leaves a bit less chewy and releases the sugars to make them a little less bitter. I’ve never tried it myself, have you?!
(And by the way, I was kidding about the music and candles, although they do say food made with love is so much more digestible and less reactive….)
