Are you on blood pressure meds? Is your blood pressure struggling and even rising on them? This might be the reason why.

I have just read that in some people blood pressure drugs like beta blockers and ACE inhibitors can actually INCREASE blood pressure rather then lower it. So, if your pressure is rising or not being controlled even though you’re on these drugs, it might be worth checking this out.

Here is a link to the story I read at WDDTY: http://www.wddty.com/hypertensive-drugs-raise-blood-pressure-not-lower-it.html which comes from a report in the American Journal of Hypertension. You can access the summary of this report in the AMH here:  http://www.nature.com/ajh/journal/v23/n9/abs/ajh2010114a.html.

Can’t confess I understand it totally, but I pass it on for you in case you recognise this issue and this gives you an angle to discuss with your GP.
