I’m always on the lookout for non-toxic, environmentally-friendly stuff for us. Today, here’s a natural, refillable, probiotic-based deodorant that seems to have great reviews. It’s vegan and corn-free so should be suitable for us TGF grain and dairy free people.
The Fussy deodorant is made from the following ingredients and comes in 4 scents or an unscented version.
Sunflower wax, coconut oil, shea butter, caprylic, tapioca, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium hydroxide and then a probiotic (called Lactobacillus) that literally eats sweat molecules for breakfast…lunch and dinner.
UPDATE: we have since discovered ingredients that were not listed on the site, but are in the product, naughty, naughty! Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric acid and Maltodextrin. These are corn derived, but in very tiny amounts, so should be okay for most people, but corn hypersensitives may react.
The scents:
Night Tales: Base Ingredients + Parfum (Fragrance). Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Farnesol, Eugenol, Citral.
Wide Eyed: Base Ingredients + Parfum (Fragrance). Limonene, Linalool, Citral.
Wavy Days: Base Ingredients + Parfum (Fragrance). Limonene, Linalool, Eugenol, Citral, Geraniol, Farnesol.
Sun Drunk: Base Ingredients + Parfum (Fragrance). Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol.
The refill packaging is made from waste sugar pulp and the outer case is recycled and recyclable plastic. They use less bicarb than many so it is not so irritating to sensitive skin. All scents are from essential oils.
Looks good to me. You can try a one-off purchase with 2 different refills and you can subscribe for a discount if you like it. Let me know how you get on!

Enjoy!
Ooh, I wonder whether they might consider entering a certain award …. ! Thanks for this, M. I’d never heard of them before.
Yes, I thought that, Alex! I think they are pretty new.
Not come across these ones before. Currently trying out FitPit. It’s OK but my pits are so sore I’m actually using nothing and it’s actually not too bad
Oh that’s good, Ruth, Not tried FitPit. Great name! Sorry they’re sore though. Ugh. You’re obvs not the smelly type 🙂
