This is a good theory: the increase in man-made enzymes used in detergents and processed food has led to an increase in allergy.
The theory goes that we can ingest enough of those heat-resistant enzymes for them to affect proteins in the body – the tight junctions in the gut, for example – causing leaky gut and, hey presto, we have a sensitivity.
I can see how that might well be an answer, at least in part, for some. However I know many people who have been following a ‘pure’ diet and not touched a man-made detergent for many years and who are still sensitive so maybe not for everyone!
Still, another reason to ditch the processed food and get a less toxic lifestyle if ever there was one!

Could man-made enzymes be the missing link in the allergy epidemic?
