Virus Presence Can Induce Oral Tolerance Loss

We’ve always known – or a least strongly suspected – that infectious agents are involved in some cases of food sensitivity, especially gluten. Now this study seems to show that it could well be happening that people contract a certain type of virus that triggers loss of tolerance immunologically to gluten and other foods. Interesting.
