An Apple A Day Gives Equivalent of 1500mg Vitamin C

Nice tip from Dr Marilyn Glenville in my inbox this morning:

In a study conducted by Cornell University, it was found that in addition to vitamin C, apples contained many other chemicals, including the antioxidants flavonoids and polyphenols. Eat an apple a day (organic where possible) to get a combined antioxidant effect equivalent to 1,500mg of vitamin C.  Because of its many other health-supporting “phyto (plant) chemicals”, you will also benefit from anti-allergy, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties too!

Something nice and easy to snack on and get your antioxidant levels up. Definitely go organic.
