Super Soups Factsheet
Super Soups Factsheet
Overview:
Soup is one of the easiest, cheapest and quickest ways to get more nutrient-rich food into your diet. By effectively liquidising food, you can eat much more of it. Blending veg together with water, for some physiological reason I haven’t fathomed yet, experts believe keeps you satisfied for longer than if you’d chomped your way through the veg and drunk the water separately. I know which one I would have time to do anyway!
It really is not difficult to make soup. You can make raw ones, fruit ones, meat, fish or veg ones. You can customise ready-made ones or even a tin of tomatoes can form a good soup base.
Once you start, you will see how easy it really is, how full and how much better you feel. Stick with it. Develop the habit of having a soup most days. Your nutrient intake will soar.
To help give you some ideas, here is my definitive guide to Super Soups. I hope you find it useful and inspiring. Remember, you can’t go wrong with making soup really; just bung it all in with some stock or water, a dash of flavour and a load of veg and you’re there! Enjoy.
