And… back to the blog, individual posts and a simpler, soothing life for all, lol!

Well, here I am doing individual posts back on the blog. (Here’s a welcome post for those not on Substack and new here on the blog x).

I have a tidy mind, as you know, and it has been bugging me that my info for you is in two different places. There are all the factsheets in the A-Z and 20 years’ worth of blog posts on this site. Then 17 issues of the newsletter on Substack. I have been copying everything onto here for you, but Mr Google doesn’t like duplicated copy and the site is being penalised. Honestly, it’s a ruddy minefield trying to get this right. Also, it was so hard to search for stuff in newsletters, and the whole point of Purehealth is that you can find help easily when you need it!

I’ve also recently detected more of a move towards a social media type vibe on Substack and it’s getting very pushy! I am finding myself going down rabbit holes of, albeit interesting, stuff, but it’s such a time suck and I’ve hormone plans and migraine factsheets to write! I’m also feeling that social media comparisonitis you get – oh, look what they’re doing, I should be doing that etc etc, you know! I think it’s less stressful me to just concentrate on what I want to say and do!

To top it all, I have been hearing quite scary stories of people’s newsletters just being deleted and customer service really not caring a fig, despite them having several thousand paid subscribers. This is not good. I think I’d rather be in more control of my content and lovely followers. I hear on the grapevine that they may be building Substack into a social media behemoth ready to sell to the highest bidder. Eek. That could be complete twaddle, of course, but I’m not minded to wait and see, you know.

SO. All that said, I have just decided to do as many of you suggested – just go my own merry little way and not bother worrying too much about it! WordPress thankfully seems to have upped its game again recently – I suspect in response to the huge growth of Substack – I’ll write the posts here as before and you’ll get them straight to your inbox as I write them – if you are subscribed. There’s less pressure on me to get a whole newsletter out every Thursday and less pressure for you to wade through it! I’ll also start sending the monthly round-up for you again, too, as I know many of you liked that especially.

For those of you who have fabulously decided to support me with a paid monthly or annual subscription on Substack, I love you. You can cancel your subscription or continue as you prefer, of course. Or ask me for a refund/help if you need to.

If you’ve not upgraded to paid or you’d like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee or two as we go along, there’s an option there to send me a monthly coffee, too. It all helps pay for the research and writing time, which is, in essence, part of my practitioner services to you. The Purehealth blog is only possible because of you!

So, let’s see how we get on here on the blog again. It’ll soothe my tidy mind, and hopefully yours! I’ll get a good first post together for you shortly x

Retiring, but loads of help still here!
