DON’T EAT SO FAST!

Recent studies once again suggest that if we eat too quickly, we put on weight.

Professor Ian McDonald from Uni of Nottingham explained: “If you eat quickly you basically fill your stomach before your gastric feedback has had a chance to start developing – you can overfill the thing.” In other words, you eat so fast that the body doesn’t have a chance to tell you it’s full, so you carry on much later than you would or ought to have! Chew those mince pies slowly…
