I’m really liking these smoothie ideas coming from Biocare at the moment so here’s another one for you. This time, a blast of Vitamin C and some liver support. A green smoothie that is power-packed but tasty! Not TGF as they contain citric acid and xylitol from corn. You could easily substitute stuff from the TGF Supplement Master List though using the powder from capsules etc.

Here’s the last smoothie in case you missed it. I would rotate these smoothies, having one most days; it will pay dividends for your gut, liver and overall health.

RECIPE

Serves one

Prep time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1x heaped teaspoon Cleanse NutriPowder
  • Optional extra for added support: 1 x rounded scoop Vitamin C Rosehip Complex
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 small handful of mango or pineapple, ideally frozen
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 celery steam with leaves*
  • 1 large handful of washed spinach*
  • 10g (1 heaped dessert spoon) unflavoured, unsweetened pea protein powder [try this one]
  • 1cm cube of fresh ginger, washed, skin on
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 4 mint leaves (optional)
  • 250ml of coconut water (or unflavoured, unsweetened plant milk if you prefer)

*Must be organic [as they are usually very heavily pesticide-sprayed]

METHOD

  1. Measure all ingredients directly into the jug for your smoothie machine

  2. Blend for around 1 minute until completely smooth. Add a splash more coconut water if you prefer a runnier smoothie.

  3. Enjoy!
