What To Do For Resistant Skin Staph Infections?

Interesting article today for you from Patrick Holford who recently contracted a staph (staphyloccocus) infection in his skin that antibiotics were not touching.

I’ve been superbugged!

Essentially he used 1000mg of a no flush type of niacin, like this type of thing. Not to be confused with niacin, which is different.

That could be very useful knowledge if anyone you know has a resistant staph infection! Many eczema sufferers are known to be susceptible to staph infections and I wonder if this might be a good thing to trial for them..? Other staph infections include things like boils, cellulitis, impetigo and folliculitis.

I’ve added a note so we remember this onto the Infections Factsheet in the A-Z.
